Chargé d’Affaires Aggeler stressed the importance of strengthening US-Pakistan economic ties.

“For years, the United States has been Pakistan’s largest export market and one of Pakistan’s largest sources of foreign investment,” he said. “Our roundtable with AUSTR Wilson allowed us to discuss Pakistan’s business environment and ways to strengthen our economic and commercial ties.”

Wilson shared USTR’s perspectives on challenges and opportunities for expanding trade and investment, including US-Pakistan trade. Private sector participants shared their views on Pakistan’s desire to expand its business environment and trade.

USTR Assistant Christopher Wilson said: “I appreciate the opportunity to hear directly from Pakistani business circles about their desire for US-Pakistan trade relations and to summarize the US government’s policy priorities as it seeks to strengthen trade ties and Pakistan’s business environment. ”
